The Arts

We were learning about The Arts and what you see or do.  I was using my Whaiwhakaaro learning asset and thinking what was in that specific topic like dancing was hard because we had name dances or what you do but I only had moves for dancing that's not a dance move.  We also had to think what art is but I didn't know exactly what art was so I just guessed it.

I found it easy with the music one because we do things at school like choir, guitar, recorder and also singers and piano.

I found it hard with dancing and visual art and kind of drama dancing I couldn't remember any dances and what they were called.  Visual art was hard but I knew like art and then I got help because I didn't know anything else.  Drama was easyish but still couldn't think of anything my friend helped me on 3 and those were comedy, shows and plays.

I enjoyed this activity because I like some of these topics like drama or music or visual art.  I don't really like dancing but sometimes I do.  It was also fun figuring stuff out like thinking for the idea and I think dancing was the hardest because you  have to name dances but I don't really know any dance names.

Next time I need to maybe stay on time because I could've finished earlier but I kept on getting distracted and had to write on it 3 times but could've done it more but also I didn't have any ideas of some things.

 

Atua

 

I was learning to find pictures write the maori then the english version.  We had to copy the picture of the atua then put it on a slide and photos that represent the atua then record the maori and english version.

I found it hard to find the meaning in english but since some of the maori words like te and o.

I enjoyed doing the recordings and because sometimes I messed up and laughed.  Pronouncing the names are hard and the maori version.  

Next time I need to stay focused instead of taking forever to publish it to my blog.

The Koru

 

I was learning to look at korus and describe what they look like also learning to do many things in maori like games and words and also atua.  Using our Kaiwhakarite Self manager stay organized and manage my time effectively.

I found it easy to look at a maori pattern especially when it was a swirly pattern and swirly patterns are easy to describe.

I found it hard write and add adjectives and similes in the piece of writing.

I enjoyed writing about korus because swirly shapes are easy to write about and I like easy things.

Next time I need to add my name at the bottom and I also to manage my time effectively.

Winter Wind

 

I was learning about Winter and I could choose from 3 things snow, wind or rain I choose wind.  

We were also trying to add adjectives and similes and nouns etc.   It was a piece of writing using Kaiwhakarite (stay organized and manage my time effectively).

I found it easy to write about wind because wind is easy to know what happens because tornados and more also flipping cars when strong wind hits.

I found it hard to at similes and adjectives but I managed to find some to make my writing better than before.

I enjoyed writing about Winter because Winter is a season where most people find it hard to keep warm and also Winter has harder winds than most seasons.

Next time I need to add more reread my writing to make sure it makes sense.
