Trip to the Museum

We were learning about things from many years ago like when moa existed and barley any houses existed.  We started on a bus heading to the museum then we all walked in a room with lots of stuff everywhere like a bird hanging from a string and native birds from New Zealand.

All of us did a scavenger hunt we had to find a spinner, boat and one more thing in one of the main rooms.  Then we had to go in another room and and find two more things a hoe and I forgot the other name but it was made out of dog skin and that's very sad.

Then we looked at a bunch of art pieces to get an idea of what we could paint after that we traveled back to the room we started in.  The lady tells us to grab a sponge and a piece of paper grabbed a pencil and I drew a big cloud with a river below the cloud.  I had to draw pretty hard but not so hard that the sponge rips.  After I drew the cloud and river I painted over the drawing I used the color blue.  I used a brush to paint on the sponge after I did that I grabbed a roller and flipped the sponge on the paper and rolled of the back of the sponge,  and when I flipped the sponge over I could see the image on the paper it was kind of messed up but it worked.  We all had to get back on the bus and head back to school.

I enjoyed it but I have been to the museum a ton of times so nothing new except for the room we went in.

I found it easy to find everything but there was one thing that was a bit challenging to find one thing that was the spinner.

Atua

I was learning to find pictures write the maori then the english version.  We had to copy the picture of the atua then put it on a slide and photos that represent the atua then record the maori and english version.

I found it hard to find the meaning in english but since some of the maori words like te and o.

I enjoyed doing the recordings and because sometimes I messed up and laughed.  Pronouncing the names are hard and the maori version.

Next time I need to stay focused instead of taking forever to publish it to my blog.

The Koru

I was learning to look at korus and describe what they look like also learning to do many things in maori like games and words and also atua.  Using our Kaiwhakarite Self manager stay organized and manage my time effectively.

I found it easy to look at a maori pattern especially when it was a swirly pattern and swirly patterns are easy to describe.

I found it hard write and add adjectives and similes in the piece of writing.

I enjoyed writing about korus because swirly shapes are easy to write about and I like easy things.

Next time I need to add my name at the bottom and I also to manage my time effectively.
