Reading: Author's Purpose

 

We were learning about what author's purpose is.  I also learn what pie means it means Persuade Inform and Entertain.  Our learning assets were Kairangahau and Kaiwhakarite.

I found it easy to read the 2 stories because I know a lot of words so I could read all of them without trying to spell out the words.

I enjoyed learning about Author's Purpose because reading is my favourite subject and reading is very calming to me. 

Te Reo Introduction

 

I am learning to say my name, where I'm from, where I live, what I like and what I don't like in te reo.

Science with Book Creator

I was learning to use book creator. 

Road Safety

 Today we were learning to be safe on the road and collaborating to make a movie about road safety.  The reason why we did this is because it was road safety week.  Also trying to use mahi tahi and be a good teammate.

I found it easy to make a road safety movie because I have used imovie before so it would be easier since I have used it before.

I found it hard to get all the clips because we did most of the ones that we have already done so we didn't know anymore but we still completed them by kinda copying the other one we did.

I enjoyed creating this movie because making movies are really fun and we are also teaching people about road safety so it is much better teaching and having fun at the same time.

Next time I need to work more collaboratively with my team so we can get done and I also need to use my time effectively. 

Writing focus

 

For our writing we have been writing Narratives. We have been learning to add a great hook in or opening line to our writing and to start our sentences in different ways.

This week we also had to have a smile and alliteration in our writing. This slide shows my hook in, sentence beginnings, simile and alliteration.

We are using our Kaiwhakarite/Self Manager learning asset by reflecting on our learning.

Copyright Challange

 I was learning to create a copyright slide with explorer.  Copyright is your image getting taken by somebody else that didn't ask you for permission.

I found this easy because it says what you had to put in that exact box and also for the name and nickname you only had to write your name or nickname in that box instead of a image.

I found this hard because we had to keep the link for the person who made it and then it made it way harder to resize the image inside the box.

I really enjoyed doing this challenge because it is teaching you that you can get copyright claimed if you use them from the web.

Next time I need to be more focused on my learning and not get distracted.

Respecting the Playground

We were learning to respect many things in our playground like listening to the teacher.

I found this activity easy because for the putting rubbish in the bin we just found the rubbish around the playground and looked like we were picking the rubbish up.

I found it hard to find out what we were going to do for that respect option for what to do and exactly what it looked like.

I really enjoyed doing this activity because it was lots of fun and we laughed about what we actually did for the playing with buddies and respecting the garden.

Next time I need to focus more then we could of gotten the activity done more faster.
